Ami Hendrickson specializes in teaching writing and communication skills.  She graduated with distinction from Andrews University and holds degrees in English and Education.

Ami is the ghostwriter for several master horse trainers and other notable experts:

• The Rider’s Pain–Free Back was written with neurosurgeon Dr. James Warson.  American Horse Publications declared it one of the Top 3 Books of the Year.
• Geoff Teall on Riding Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation, was written with internationally noted hunt seat Equitation trainer, judge Geoff Teall.  The book was ranked in the top 50 Horse Books on Amazon.com within weeks of its release and was an Equestrian Edge Book Club Main Selection.
• She contributed to Photographing and “Videoing” Horses Explained, the definitive book on the subject.
• Beyond a Whisper: Training Horses with a New Language explores the training techniques of Ryan Gingerich.
• Clinton Anderson’s Downunder Horsemanship, written for Australian clinician and training sensation Clinton Anderson, is an international bestseller within its genre.

Ami has written several award-winning screenplays including “Knight Vision” (aka “Shalott”), “Unknown Soldiers,” and “The Rain Beau.”  She is the co-author of “Against the Wind,” a biopic on the life of legendary American marathon runner Dick Beardsley, currently in development with Vineyard Productions.

When her schedule permits, she enjoys speaking to writers at conferences and workshops.

Ami, her husband, and daughter, live with their “vast menagerie” on a 100-year old farm in Southwestern Michigan.
